On the shore of Horsley lake, our beautiful Site is perfect for fishing or simply watching the world go by. It is a haven for wildlife – foxes, deer, rabbits and ducks are all regular visitors.
• The Site is on the edge of the North Downs, where there is a well-maintained network of footpaths.
• Denbies is England’s largest vineyard.
• The Royal Horticultural Society’s Garden at Wisley is close by.
• Bocketts Farm Park hosts piglet racing and is a working farm.
• The city of Guildford has three National Trust properties, including Dapdune Wharf – the centrepiece of the River Wey Navigations.
• Hatchlands is set in the 430-acre Repton Park. The 18th century mansion has Adam interiors and a collection of keyboard instruments.
• Brooklands Museum is based at the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. It is home to the first purpose-built motor racing circuit as well as a Wellington bomber.
• Several theme parks are in the area, including Legoland, Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park.
• Newland Corner is five miles from Site. Managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust Countryside Services, it has several trails to follow.
• Shalford Mill is an early 18th century water mill, with its original millstone.
• Trains go in to London from East Horsley village.
