* The magnificent Kyles of Bute are superb waters for all sea sports - including angling! There is an almost limitless amount of fresh bait freely available - lugworm, cockles, mussels etc. There are boats for hire too.

You have a choice of routes to Glendaruel.
Either -
* Over the scenic Rest and Be Thankful (A83) down into Cowal (A815) the park lies 15 miles south of Strachur on the modernised A886.
Or -
* By ferry to Dunoon and then on the B836 which joins the A886 4 miles south of the park. If you are towing we do not recommend the latter route since there is a 1:5 uphill gradient at the head of Loch Striven.
