OUT AND ABOUT
Gentle seaside strolls, rugged mountain hikes, pony trekking and cycling are excellent ways to enjoy this spectacular scenery. With ample opportunities for angling, sailing and golf there's plenty to do for the fit and sporty.
The Vale of Rheidol Railway runs for nearly 12 miles from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge. On the hour-long journey passengers have spectacular views of the wooded Rheidol Valley. At Devil's Bridge, there are walks to Mynach Falls, Devil's Punchbowl and Jacob's Ladder.
At Devil's Bridge spectacular 300ft waterfalls and three bridges span a breathtaking woodland gorge. The first bridge is reputed to have been built by the Devil, but in reality it was built in 11th century by the monks.
