Fieldhead Campsite is situated in Edale, a picturesque village at the start of the Pennine Way. The village has two public houses, two cafes and a post office / general store all within 500m of the site.
The campsite is owned by the Peak District National Park Authority and is located at the Moorland / Visitor Information Centre.
Tent pitches are spread over six fields with a separate family field and a small riverside field which is dedicated to backpackers only. There is a separate car park next to the camping fields which have no vehicle access ensuring a quieter, peaceful stay.
Edale village has pubs, cafes and a post office / general store all within easy walking distance.
The site is situated at the Peak District Park Authority's Moorland / Information Centre so ideal for all outdoor enthusiasts. Staff are always on hand to give advice on local walking, mountain biking and climbing.
The small camping fields make it ideal for families and also education groups, Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts and Guides.

The campsite is located in the centre of Edale, so is a short walk from the station and other village facilities. Being at the foot of Kinder Scout, it is well used by hikers and mountain bikers. It is also a short drive from well known climbing areas such as Stanage Edge and Burbage.
