Exe Valley Caravan Site occupies a prime position in a wooded valley alongside the River Exe, within the National Park.

The site is ideally situated for visiting the Doone Valley, Tarr Steps, Dulverton and many other beautiful venues in the area.

This four acre ‘adult only’ campsite is owned and managed by Paul and Christine Matthews.

Set beside the River Exe or the millstream, there are 50 large pitches (mostly grass but with some hardstandings at the top end), of which 41 have 10A electricity and TV hook-ups.

Reception forms part of the owner’s home which is an old mill, complete with water wheel and grindstones that are in working order.

Facilities at Exe Valley Caravan Site include a refurbished toilet block with the usual facilities and an en-suite room for disabled visitors (quite short steep ramp to enter). Excellent laundry with domestic washing and drying machines, plus a microwave (free). Motorcaravan service point. Small shop with basic provisions. Bicycle hire. Gas supplies. Free fly fishing. WiFi. This is an adult-only park.

DIRECTIONS
Leave the M5 at J. 27 and take the A361 toward Tiverton. After 7 miles of dual carriageway, turn right at the roundabout toward Bampton. Turn left at the Exeter Inn roundabout and take care to follow the A396 two miles later at the Black Cat filling station. Do not go through Dulverton but continue on the A396 past Exebridge for a further 7 miles. Upon entering Bridgetown, turn left immediately after the Badgers Holt Inn, and the site is on your right.
