East Balthangie is ideally situated for exploring Banff and Buchan. This area has a wealth of beautiful and interesting places to visit and enjoy. Plenty of pubs, secluded beach coves and the area is handy for the whisky trail.

The roads in the area are really great for cyclists, walkers or bikers; traffic is relatively light and you can move around with good progression on a wide range of straight, twisting & varied country roads with good cross views and great scenery.

Generally acknowledged as the driest part of Scotland, the North East of Scotland is perfect for caravan and camping.

The Castle Trail and Coastal Trail are within easy reach and of course the Distilleries are always popular.

There are Museums and Art Galleries too and for those of you who would like to explore the countryside there are plenty of walks and country parks to visit. Haddo House, Dalgety Castle, National Lighthouse Museum to name a few!

Eating out poses no problem as choices vary from excellent restaurants, to village bar meals and the local fish and chip shop and Indian carry out with cuisines to suit most tastes. Or you may wish to stay on site, have a barbecue, and truly “eat out!”

At East Balthangie we offer friendly efficient service in a relaxing tranquil atmosphere. We aim to please our customers and if anyone has any special requirements we will do our best to meet them. Although we do not have very specific disabled facilities

Pets are welcome to use our farm walks round 40 acres or our secure exercise area, where you can let your dog off the lead with total confidence. A pet loo is also available.

Bikers, Cyclists, walkers, motorists are all more than welcome at our camp site, Planet Balthangie and we have generally plenty of space to spread out and relax.

We have a new toilet block with power shower wet rooms, dressing table area for the ladies and camper's kitchen complete with microwave, toaster, kettle, TV, radio and table and chairs. Hot water washing up facilities and laundry facilities are also included here.

There is also the 'Biker's Bothy'- A bunk bed room adjacent to the camper's kitchen for campers too tired to set their tent up! £10 per person per night.
We also have a games pavilion, with pool table, table tennis, table football and darts available. it's an ideal venue too for rallies and meetings, or parties.

Our prices are all inclusive and we don't charge you extra for showers, extra vehicles, extra pets, extra visitors etc etc. The only extra is for the washing machine at £2.00 a wash and the dryer at 50p per 15 mins!

We don't mind (responsible) on site barbeques and well organised rallies- please ask for more information.
