Downton Holiday Park is a small, peaceful park perfectly placed for the ideal family holiday, less then five minutes drive from the beach and close to the New Forest, green fields are across Downton Lane from us.

We only let 22 caravans on our small peaceful park and we take pride in looking after all of them and keeping everything clean and tidy. There are also 55 privately-owned caravans. We believe we are most reasonably priced and that you would find it very difficult to find better value for money.

The New Forest, England's most famous woodland covers 90,000 acres and is on our doorstep. See the mighty Oak and Beech trees; the wild ponies and deer. Don't miss the Tall Tree Walk at Rhinefield, National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and Exbury Gardens.

Lymington, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight are within easy reach from Downton, which places are perfect for sailing, boating, golf, fishing, wind-surfing and horse-riding. Mudeford and Highcliffe, nearby, have wonderful sandy beaches.

For the benefit of our holiday guests, we have a children's play area, laundry and public telephone on the park.

We have 4 categories of caravan entitled OAK, FOREST, EXBURY and SWAY.

The OAK (35ft by 12ft), is our largest model, and with three bedrooms, can accommodate up to eight persons. The accommodation comprises one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, with additional double sleeping area in the lounge.

The FOREST (28ft by 12ft), is a two-bedroom caravan and can accommodate up to six or seven persons, depending on each individual layout. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom (some with a half bunk for a child) and additional sleeping area in the lounge.

The SWAY (26ft by 10ft), is also a two-bedroom caravan and can accommodate up to six or seven persons depending on each individual layout. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom (some with a half bunk for a child) and additional sleeping area in the lounge.

The EXBURY (either 28ft x 12ft or 28ft x 10ft 2 bedroom or 35ft x 12ft 3 bedroom) and is a category for guests who wish to bring their pets on holiday with them.

All caravans have a fitted shower and toilet, hot and cold water, fridge, gas or electric cooker and colour tv. Duvets (blankets for additional sleeping areas), pillows, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided, but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and duvet cover(s), towels, tea cloths and tablecloth.

A small number of two-bedroom caravans also have a half bunk, which is suitable for a small child.
