This wonderful Club Site at Delamere Forest – near Chester – opened in 2007 and includes many environmentally-friendly features to complement the 950 hectares of mixed deciduous and evergreen forest around it.
• Delamere Forest itself has many forest roads and trails – ideal for walking and cycling – and the Linmere Visitor Centre and café. Bikes can be hired at the Visitor Centre. The Forest also hosts regular, high-profile concerts.
• Go Ape! is a high-wire forest adventure for teenagers and adults. It is only a short stroll from the Club Site.
• The picturesque railway station is next to the Site. Trains go to Chester and Manchester. The station also has a good café.
• The historic city of Chester has a beautiful, Gothic cathedral, the 13th century “Rows” of shops and Britain’s largest Roman Amphitheatre.
• Chester Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country.
• Britain’s first – and now England’s only – working Boat Lift is at Anderton.
• Liverpool is half an hour’s drive from Site.
• The Railway Age museum is based in Crewe and has a viewing area over the famous mainline railway junction.
