Our lovely new Club Site at Conkers now boasts full facilities and is open all year round. The Site is in the heart of the country’s youngest forest and next door to the award winning visitor attraction of the same name.
• Conkers – the award-winning attraction in the centre of the National Forest – includes nature discovery zones, a sculpture trail and an assault course for teenagers.
• The 19th century blast furnace at Moira has interactive displays and guided tours.
• Burton upon Trent is home to the White Shield Brewery, possibly Britain's oldest microbrewery.
• The world’s largest collection of Grand Prix racing cars is at Donington Park.
• Calke Abbey is an example of a great country house in decline.
• Twycross Zoo is famous for its collection of primates. It also runs a successful captive breeding programme.
• Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park tells the story of the medieval battle.
• The Ashby Woulds Heritage Trail is accessible to walkers and cyclists from the Club Site.
• Hough Windmill is open to visitors on Sunday afternoons in summer.
• Snibston Discovery Park is on the site of a former colliery. It tells the story of transport, mining and quarrying, engineering and the fashion industry in the area.
