Canal Side Caravan Site is set in beautiful countryside adjacent to the Llangollen Canal and Sandstone Trail. A five minute walk along the towpath will see you at the famous Grindley Brook staircase locks.

We have 29 mostly fully serviced Caravan/Motor Home Pitches in two adjacent fields. We also have 8 tent pitches in a separate camping area.

We are equipped with two separate amenity blocks providing Toilets, Showers and facilities for Washing up and Chemical - Elsan disposal. Pets are welcome on the site and we can cater for Rallies.

We offer Secure All Year Round and Short Term (Winter) Caravan Storage The site is protected with a height barrier fitted for extra security and we live on site.

A walk into the town of Whitchurch taking about 25 to 30 minutes. There are many country walks in the area, catering for the enthusiast or those who like a gentle stroll.

Canal Side is very central for exploring, Shrewsbury, Chester, Wrexham and Oswestry. These are all within a twenty mile radius of Grindley Brook.

We are also close to the Welsh border making it easy to explore Llangollen, with its famous canal, Steam railway and Horse Shoe Pass.

Ellesmere is approximately 12 miles away, having its magnificent meres and nature reserve, Brown Moss the Nature reserve is only appox. 5 miles away, this again is of great interest for wild life and rare plant species.

Hawkstone Follies and Golf Course can also be found within a distance of 12 miles from Canal Side.

We are within easy reach of Beaston Castle and Bickerton Hills both boasting beautiful Cheshire country side and views.

There are also a number fishing pools within easy reach of the site along with tennis courts, indoor swimming pool and the Hill Valley golf course.

DIRECTIONS
APPROACH FROM WHITCHURCH: From the Whitchurch bypass take the A41 to Chester. In about a mile you will see the Shell garage on the right in the 'S' bends. The campsite is the first cottage on the right after the garage and opposite the Horse and Jockey Public House.

APPROACH FROM CHESTER: Traveling on the A41 from Chester towards Whitchurch you will enter Grindley Brook and a 40 miles per hour limit. Just as you pass the 40 mph signs the site is on your left just before the Shell Garage and opposite the car park for the Horse and Jockey Public House.
