Balloch O' Dee is a beautiful small farm nestled in stunning countryside on the edge of the Galloway national forest park.
Fifteen minutes from the coast and numerous wonderful beaches, (and "some of the best crab fishing in the whole wide world" so our kids tell us) it is surrounded by forests and mountains and sits at the foot of Cullvenan Fell.
Balloch O' Dee is an amazing base if you are a wildlife enthusiast. On the edge of a four thousand acre forest, rare birds are never far away. Deer wander through the farm and an abundance of wildlife is all around you.
The campsite is a small site covering about 15 acres with a maximum of five tourers and as many tents as we like. We have no statics and the emphasis is on space so you wont be crammed in!
We will have a new showers, toilets and electric hookups from the end of April 2012
We have built a number of individual Scottish stone BBQ's arround the site so if you dont fancy lugging yours along with you then be our guest - charcoal and wood are always available at the farm. You can also help yourself to free range eggs from our rare breed hens.
We have our own Pony Trekking centre at Balloch O' Dee. Based just down the road at the idyllic Three Lochs Park. It is surrounded by beautiful waterside tracks and spectecular woodland trails. We have ponies to cater for all ages, from beginners to the more experienced rider. It's a very friendly, informal centre designed to create a lovely relaxed and safe atmosphere for all the family.
