A warm welcome awaits your visit at Avon Tyrrell, a 65 acre Outdoor Activity Centre set in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest with 7 camping areas, a small fully equipped tipi village a Grade I listed House and lodges. Our camping areas are open allowing you to find a pitch that suits you within the camping area and although most do not offer electric hook up, we now have a few pitches that do offer this facility. Amenities include toilet and shower facilities, a café serving good food at friendly prices and we have a small shop to support your needs.
If you would like to guarantee an adventure holiday to remember, book your own bespoke activity package in advance, or if you prefer, there are drop in activities available depending on availability – just ask at reception when checking in.
Our beautiful Grade II listed site is on top of a hill offering wonderful views and stunning areas to explore, mounting bike tracks (including a pump and gravity track for the more experienced rider) and two lakes. Our activities include kayaking, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, high and low rope challenges and a zip wire (please see our website for the full list).
Avon Tyrrell is a historic site and gives visitors a genuine New Forest camping experience with an opportunity to see a range of wildlife; deer, badgers, birds, buzzards, geese and rabbits also like it here – we even have our own goats!
