Abbey Gate Farm is a traditional working beef farm, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty overlooking the Axe Valley. One mile from Axminster and 5 miles from Lyme Regis. Within easy range of picturesque villages and glorious beaches.

This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site that accepts just five caravans or motorhomes plus tents, space permitting. You can get membership on arrival at cost of £37 per year.

We are open all year round and now have 5 hard standing pitches which have been very useful throughout the winter.

The latest improvement to the site has been the addition of extra shrubs, as well as another conifer bed in the middle.

There is always plenty of space for tents but for caravan/motorhome pitches with electric hook-up it is usually advisable to book.

DIRECTIONS
From M5 Jct 25 follow A358 signposted Chard, Axminster.

From Axminster town centre, continue to mini roundabout (Tesco on R) turn L signposted for Railway Station, Musbury and Seaton A358. Follow road round 2 sharp bends, continue forward under A35, Axminster Carpets on R. After Abbey Gate House and Shamwari, site is on LHS after lay-by and 2nd telegraph pole.

From A35 do not take the 1st turning to Axminster continue to the next exit signposted Abbey Gate, Musbury and Seaton A358. At the T junction turn left go past Ax Carpets and Abbey Gate House, the farm is on the left hand side after the lay by. The site is approached via the concrete driveway, please call at the farmhouse before entering the site.
